GIANT WARRIOR 2019 DONE & DUSTED!

We swam 33km; We cycled 90km; We ran 42km
That's a half Ironman, 10km swim, 5km swim, 1/2 Marathon and a 3 x 4km swim series all in a week!
I am one of four GIANT WARRIORS! I personally did 19h55m of racing! Just awesome! Bloody well done to my fellow champion comrades: Alison Boggs, Cameron Brown & Willem Jordaan! I’ve had the time of my life racing with you all!
I was 1st lady home in the Lava Half Marathon run on our 7th day of racing in a time of 1.41. Then an hour later we did our final 4.5km swim to finish off the Samoa Swim Series and complete our Giant Warrior races. I was 3rd overall in a small field. Cameron Brown was 1st male in a time of 1.25 (he’s still been training & doing 100-190km everyday for the past four days- such is the life of a Pro! Legend!)

Then we swam our final epic 4km deep blue sea ocean swim of the Samoa Swim Series. And just like that, one week has already passed!

Moral of the story: GRAB LIFE BY THE HORNS & JUST DO IT!!

Thank you Afoa Seti Afoa of Samoa Events & crew for putting on these epic events all week! Epic events in stunning locations & making new life-long friends.

Ruth Croft, 2nd Female at the Trail Running World Champs!

July 04, 2019

“You’re 1min off 2nd, 3rd, and 4th”. Sometimes that is all you need to hear. I put my head down, took on two gels to try and subside the thigh cramps that were starting to take over and kept moving. I caught up to 4th within a couple of minutes. I started the hunt for the 3rd place woman and quickly caught her, now onto the second place.…Read the exciting race report of how the Trail World Champs panned out for Kiwi runner, Ruth Croft
