Compare and despair…We have all been here, comparing ourselves to others and coming up feeling lacking 😔
Comparison can be a tricky thing, it can either motivate us or bring us down…mostly the latter!
Comparison can turn into a slippery slope that steals our joy and motivation. It can make us feel like we're not good enough, and even stop us from pursuing our passions altogether.
So, how do we stop comparing ourselves to others?
First, we need to acknowledge that we are all at different stages in our journey. Our bodies are unique, and factors like sleep, nutrition, and hormones can affect our abilities. So, comparing ourselves to others is not only unfair, but it's also not helpful.
Instead, we should focus on our own strengths and celebrate our progress. By developing thoughts and beliefs that strengthen our confidence, we can avoid the negative effects of comparison and stay motivated in going for our goals.
So, the next time the comparison monster tries to rear its ugly head, don't beat yourself up. Instead, take a step back and focus on your own journey, celebrating where you are at, how far you’ve come and how much possibility you have for the future.
